A cricket match played between between 2 teams captained by the President and the Club Captain. This is a very social match which is played with modified rules and plenty of bonus points on offer through brilliance, stupidity and crowd support.
Put simply its a karaoke night where the best and worst singers are on show for all to enjoy!
Mens Night, a traditional night spent amongst the gentleman of the club. The night entails a 2 course meal, guest speakers, trivia competitions and a few social drinks, not to mention the MOST delightful port found within the boundaries of Australia's coast line.
Priceline Kawana Ladies Day is where the Club gets to say thank you and reward all of the Women associated with the club. A day where a special area is sectioned off for the lovely ladies whom have come dressed as they would to the races. The Ladies are waited on all afternoon by players, officials and volunteers whilst enjoying the spectacle that is the afternoon's rugby fixtures.
Adopt a Colt Night is a night where each colt is assigned to a senior player whom owns them for the night. It is an event where the owners are encouraged to look after their colts and educate them in the same time.
Colts Day is a special day for the younger players in the club when they are the main game of the day's fixtures. All colts are put through a rugby course and play at the 3.15pm time slot as the main game with the large crowd in to watch them take on their opponent.
Hat Night is an event when the wearing of the USC rugby hat will earn you rewards. Its a time when we can can celebrate the Barbarian's version of the baggy green. Any loss of hats will be punished on this night.
Two large nights where by dressing to the theme you are entitled to specials. Not a bad thing considering the theme the players dress to usually has them looking better than normal.
Calls of 'For' can be heard on numerous occasions when USC Rugby break the season up with a social golf day on one of the Sunshine Coast's fantastic golf courses. A very relaxed day where sponsors and others from the rugby community get to meet the players and enjoy a little bit of a friendly competition.
